Tarot Reading: David Crowley; Did he, or did he not kill himself?

Share On:

Don’t know why this story came to me today, but I feel compelled to read it. Maybe there is someone out there that will be able to add to this session so that I can better understand why it’s on my mind.

Today is the first day that I’ve heard of this man’s story, so it might be the first day for you too. As quick Google search will bring up the basic background. The video below will bring in the conspiracy link.

Ultimately, when it comes down to it, we know there was foul play here. Because I’m a card reader, I’m interested to seeing what the subconscious has to say about it. To get straight to the point, we want the cards to tell us, one way or another, if David Crowley killed himself or if he didn’t.

Unfortunately, this is a hard question. The tarot cards provide a gradient answer rather than yes’s and no’s. Stated differently, many of us know that you attract your own life events to you, thus, the subconscious may see the question as – yes, he killed himself. He attracted this outcome based on his thoughts and behaviors. Whereas, the intent of the original question is to determine if he really pulled the trigger of the gun, that launched the bullet, that ended his physical life.

So, what do we get?

Well, based on the consciousness approach, we already know how he killed himself. So it becomes more interesting to explore how this happened and how it was reported.

People involved

Particularly, it’s interesting to explore to see if there were more people involved with the actual murder then simply the three victims. It might also be interesting to inquire to see if he had enemies and if they were directly involved. We might want to know what the cards can show us regarding someone, other than the murder victims, being directly involved in the murder. (Q) Does the police report accurately report the number of people involved in the actual murder or might there be some hidden participants? (Q) Can the cards help us understand if the crime scene is true as reported or if it might have been staged with the intention of deceiving the police (and everyone else)?

Report

The reports paint a deranged picture of his character, thus is would be interesting to see if the cards support that. (Q) What can the cards tell us about his mental, emotional and physical state in the few days prior to his death? (Q) What can the cards show us regarding how others witnessed his behavior in the few days prior to his death?

The public articles report a story that his life was spiraling down, his relationships were on the rocks, him and his wife started to seclude themselves from friends and family and then the investigators draw the conclusion, well, it’s like he must have just snapped. This is a stereotypical heart tugging type story. Well, do the cards support this story? (Q) What can the cards tell us about how he felt of the last couple months of his life? (Q) Was he concerned or excited for the adventures that lie ahead for him? (Q) Did he look forward to going to work, or did he dread it? (Q) Was he filling emotionally fulfilled or drained?

Conspiracy

He was also an artist. Because his art dealt with topics that are typically considered conspiratorial, we want to know if that is related directly to his death. Basically, some people claim that the reason why he is dead is because his artistic work would have revealed information that more powerful people want to keep hidden. The conspirators are linking his artwork directly to the murder, stating that the murder was made to look like a suicide. What we really want to know is, is there really a conspiracy here? (Q) Can the cards show us if the conspiracy claims are overrated of if there is some substance there? (Q) If there were one card to sum up this conspiratorial link regarding his death, what card would it be?

Reading

Summary

What do the cards have to say? Well, I don’t get the feeling that there is anything conspiracy related to this situation. The first card is the family card indicating that it may simply be the family involved. There are hints that the last few months of his life were rocky, but the conspiracy information doesn’t seem to fit.

Looking closer, the cards hint that the police report may have counted it correctly as being the family, thus assuming murder suicide. The inverted card shows off the misalignment of values in a family like setting. With regards to the crime scene, it looks like the cards see the report as balanced or being in harmony with the situation. He may have felt as if he was making great or profound sacrifices in his last months. This is generally a feel’s good card, which doesn’t support the idea that his life was spiraling apart. The next card indicates that the people around him felt good for him and his situation. There was lots of optimism for the journey. At the same time, there might have been some dealings in which he felt were dishonest or unfair. He may have felt like he was under a lot of pressure or obligated to someone for something. He was looking ahead, but he might have felt like he was trapped in always perfecting the situation. It could have been that he wasn’t making the forward progress towards completion of projects because he was working on specific details over and over again. He may have been dreading his work or starting to get disillusioned with the results. Do the conspiracy claims have any substance? Well, the cards indicate that it’s all in the head, disconnected from physical reality. Lastly, is there a link between conspiracy and his death? Well, the last card also doesn’t feel that way. This card may be hinting that if there is any conspiracy, it may simply be in his manuscript that never got completed.

Based on the card reading, it seems to me that people might be looking too deeply into this story in order to try to find some conspiratorial links. I would look at the harm angle to see if he was in debt or if he owed people something that he knew he would never be able to repay.

  1. I have a different take on your tarot reading…

Question #1- Does police report accurately report number of people involved in murder or might there be some hidden participants?
    Result: Ten of Cups Reversed
This is very revealing… Upright the Ten of Cups is the happily ever after, dreams coming true, perfect family. Reversed Ten of Cups means everything is falling apart – the happy ending has gone horribly wrong. Is this the murder?

Reversed can indicate cancellation of family events.. that did happen. David and Komel declined to go to a family Christmas party. The reversed position indicates family strife, and that also was happening. Reversed can also indicate family secrets.

Reversed the Ten of Cups suggest a non-traditional couple or family.. David and Komel were that couple. They were both brilliant, started their own business, creative type thinkers motivated to make the world a better place.

The other interesting aspect is the Ten of Cups Reversed also indicates unfriendly neighbors and lack of teamwork. In the Crowley case two neighbors discovered the deceased bodies. One of the neighbor, a wife, has been outspoken in sharing her views of the case, and those who question the case. This neighbor has been caught in several lies, and her statements concerning the murders are conflicting – which casts doubt on her statements about what she witnessed. She has created several online profiles and there are questions raised if she is behind all of these accounts or if others are involved.

Lack of teamwork – The group of friends surrounding David in the months before his death, and participating in the creation of Gray State have been nicknamed “The Team”. Social media comments indicate that David was trying to separate himself from the Team in the months before his death, and wanted the film to go in a different direction. A message about the Ten of Cups Reversed is about a person not living by their values or what they believe in, and advises to take a deeper look at areas of your life that may not be in harmony.. or to look deeper at your values or priorities. David was also doing that in the last months prior to his death, which are indicated on his social media posts… he was also encouraging other people to think deeper, and trying to enlighten people to be free thinkers.

The Team criticized the move, and after David’s death said such a move was a sign of his mental instability. However, new information has been coming forth about the Team members – many who, like the card indicates, do have secrets and/or have experienced significant strife in their own family relationships. One criticism about the Team is that their narrative about what they believe happened to the Crowley family is not consistent – and that false information has been released, including theories that Komel made a suicide pact with David and participated in the murder of her young daughter. If the Team really believed this is true.. then why are they working to release Gray State??

Concerns with the actions and behavior of the Team have been investigated on the Justice for David Crowley and Family Page, and can be examined in more detail at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/603905253044849/?ref=br_rs&qsefr=1

To answer the question: Does police report accurately report number of people involved in murder or might there be some hidden participants?

I think the card is giving a picture of people and relationships that were dominant in the months prior to the deaths of the Crowley family. NOT saying any person is guilty… just showing what David and Komel were dealing with.

    1. Thank you for your in depth feedback. It may be time that I revisit this topic, but if so, it would be to address specific questions that you may have. This might best be done blind – this would involve you hand writing 4 or 5 questions and then I will draw 4 of 5 cards, one for each question. We will then use the online definitions to look for the content that you seek.
      Dave

  2. Question #2  Can the cards help us understand if the crime scene is true as reported or if it might have been staged with the intention of deceiving the police (and everyone else)?

The Card Two of Coins means things are NOT what they appear.

I think this card is talking about someone who is intentionally being deceptive, and/or is giving false information. If the crime scene has been staged this person is involved. The first card talked about discord or friction and mentioned lack of teamwork… so that could come into play.

People who are represented by the Coins (meaning the subject, the one being deceptive) have the following physical characteristics: Darker hair, either brown or black. Dark eyes. Skin at darker end of the spectrum or olive. A tendency to be muscular or solidly built rather than thin or frail.

Inner qualities of the Pentacles type of people include: focus, ambition, a tendency to be methodical thinkers who often move slowly and make decisions slowly.

The card goes on to offer insight into the subject… as being one who came from an impoverished or difficult background. Someone who started with nothing, and had to work for everything he had in life. He is taking a big risk and if he gets this wrong (Gray State), he stands to lose everything. In his current situation, he is spending more than he is earning. He may be feeling overwhelmed, or his moods may be affected by the current financial situation. Such a person may be both heavily invested into Gray State emotionally and financially – and stand to lose a lot if what he wanted for the film did not go according to the way he planned or wanted.

For clues, I would look back to the early interviews or social media posts after the deaths of the Crowley family…. who is giving information or offering theories? Have the theories been proven? Are there inconsistencies? Does this person have a motive or reason to be deceptive? What is happening to the Gray State film now?

Time wise the card has to do with the season of fall, The card also deals with change, and financial change. Or transferring money or property from one account to another. There are indications that both Komel and David were making career changes in the fall. The card does not indicate financial struggle. Reports do say that valuable coins were found in the Crowley home, and a $14k check was left for David on the doorstep, so if they were in need of money, resources were available. For that reason I don’t think the subject of the card is David or Komel.

The picture on the card shows a man hopping from foot to foot, juggling two coins. One coin is higher than the other and surrounding is a figure of eight loop, the infinity symbol. Interesting because Komel had a similar tattoo of an infinity symbol on her wrist and it was used to identify her body.

The picture of the man on the card matches what you would expect from people represented by the coins with dark hair and dark eyes, for that reason I think he is the unknown subject. Since the card deals with finances and specifically “A fledgling business getting off the ground and struggling to stay afloat…” (Gray State), it could mean the subject had an interest in Gray State.

I think this card is saying either the crime scene has been altered or that someone giving information is not being truthful.

There are alot of questions about the crime scene – such as a bullet lodged in the ceiling that was not discovered by AVPD during their initial investigation, and reported a month later – after clean up of the home had begun. Other questions have to do with the rear slider door, found slightly ajar. The investigation has not resulted in any answers but only raised more questions…
